Comments:
Both reported isoforms represent identical protein (NP_000665.1; NP_001041695.1) Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave bands at approx 30kDa and 20kDa in Human Brain (Cerebellum) lysates after 0.1µg/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the bands we observe given the calculated size of 36.5kDa according to NP_000665.1 and NP_001041695.1. Both detected bands were successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide (and BLAST results with the immunizing peptide sequence did not identify any other proteins to explain the additional bands). Expected from sequence similarity: Human, Mouse, Rat, Dog Please note: this product is made against targets that have limited or no commercial antibodies available to them and for which there are no data on the expression of the protein in the range of common cell lines and tissues available to us. These antibodies are affinity purified using their peptide immunogen and are known to give low background staining in a western blot. No additional claims are made for their ability to recognize native protein in any application.
